How Referral Rewards Work on Oweize

Oweize now has a referral rewards program that lets you earn points by inviting friends. The concept is simple: share your referral code, your friend signs up and connects a bank account, and both of you earn points. Here is everything you need to know.

How the Referral Program Works

Every Oweize user gets a unique referral code. You can find it in the app under your profile settings. Share this code with anyone who does not yet have an Oweize account.

When your friend signs up using your referral code and connects at least one bank account, the referral is considered complete. At that point, both you and your friend receive reward points automatically.

There is no limit to how many people you can refer. Each successful referral earns you points, and those points add up over time.

What Counts as a Successful Referral

A referral is marked complete when the referred person does two things:

1. Signs up for an Oweize account using your referral code
2. Connects at least one bank account through Plaid

Both steps must happen for the referral to count. Simply signing up without connecting a bank does not trigger the reward.

What Are Points Worth?

Points are a currency within Oweize that you accumulate over time. We are building out a rewards catalog where you will be able to redeem your points for offers and benefits. The more points you collect now, the more options you will have when redemption launches.

Think of it as an early advantage. Users who start referring friends now will have a head start when the rewards catalog goes live.

How to Share Your Referral Code

You can share your referral code in several ways:

• Copy it directly from the app and paste it into a text message or chat
• Share it through any messaging app installed on your phone
• Mention it in person and have your friend enter it during sign-up

The code is a short alphanumeric string that is easy to remember and share.

Points for Both Sides

The referral program rewards both the referrer and the referred user. When a referral is completed, both accounts receive points. This makes it worthwhile for your friend to use your code rather than signing up without one.

Tracking Your Referrals

You can see your current points balance in the app. As referrals are completed, your balance updates automatically. There is no need to manually claim rewards or submit proof. The system handles everything once your friend connects their bank account.

Why Bank Connection Is the Trigger

We chose bank connection as the referral trigger because it represents a meaningful commitment to using the app. It ensures that referred users are genuinely engaged with Oweize, which makes the referral program sustainable and fair for everyone.

Connecting a bank account is free for the first connection, so there is no cost barrier for your friend to complete the referral.
