Introducing Automatic Bank Sync: Connect Your Accounts with Oweize Pro

Managing your finances manually takes time. Downloading CSV files, importing them, and categorizing transactions one by one is better than nothing, but it is still a lot of work. That is why we built automatic bank sync into Oweize Pro.

What Is Automatic Bank Sync?

With Oweize Pro, you can connect your bank accounts directly through Plaid, one of the most trusted names in financial data connectivity. Once connected, your transactions are synced automatically every week. No downloads, no imports, no manual entry.

Your balances update in real time, so you always know exactly where you stand across all your accounts.

How It Works

Setting up bank sync takes about two minutes:

1. Open Oweize and navigate to Budget, then Accounts
2. Tap to add a new account and select "Connect Bank"
3. Search for your bank and log in through Plaid's secure interface
4. Select which accounts you want to sync

That is it. Your transactions will start flowing in automatically. Each Sunday, Oweize runs a sync to pull in your latest transactions and update your balances. You will get a notification when new transactions are ready for review.

Security and Privacy

Bank connections are handled entirely through Plaid. Oweize never sees or stores your bank login credentials. Plaid uses bank-level encryption and is trusted by thousands of financial applications.

You can disconnect any bank account at any time from within the app.

What Is Included

The Oweize Pro plan includes connections for up to 3 bank accounts. If you need more, additional banks are available at USD 0.99 per month each. This covers checking accounts, savings accounts, and credit cards.

Where Is It Available?

Automatic bank sync is currently available for banks in the United States and Canada. We support thousands of financial institutions through Plaid, including major banks like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, TD Bank, RBC, Scotiabank, and many more.

Support for additional countries will be evaluated based on Plaid's expanding coverage.

How Is This Different from CSV Import?

CSV import, available on the Plus plan, works with any bank in the world. You download a statement file from your bank and upload it to Oweize. AI detects the format and imports your transactions.

Bank sync on the Pro plan eliminates that manual step entirely. Transactions arrive automatically, balances update in real time, and you get notified when new transactions need review.

Both features include AI-powered categorization, smart matching, and full budget tracking.
